Rental terms & Bookings

Ballybur castle is available for self-catering holidays throughout the year. You can rent Ballybur castle for long weekends or a week. Longer lettings are also possible.

Rates will vary and depend on the length of your stay, rates start at just €1,200.

The castle will be exclusively yours, including towels, bedlinen, a bottle of gas for cooking, heating and fuel (logs and coal) for fires. The castle sleeps comfortably eight people, but can cater for up to 12.

On arrival visitors will find a high standard of cleaning, tidying and laundering, with all beds made, towels and soap etc set out, and a fire laid in the hearth.

Apart from a starting supply of logs or equivalent fuel for the open hearth, and at least one full drum of gas for the cooker, consumable stores are not provided. Arrangements can be made with the housekeeper for services such as bedmaking, laundering and cleaning, for which she should be paid directly.

A deposit of 50% of the rent is required with each booking if the period being reserved is within the current calendar year. The deposit for a reservation for the next calendar year is 25% at the timeof booking and a further 25% by the first of February of the following year.

Final payment is due on arrival. In case of cancellation, your deposit will be refundable only if the castle can be let for that period.
